CBCA Book Week 2024

Timeless pre-show activities

Complete the two activities below to get the most out of our performance.

And don’t forget to bring your jar with you too!

Sing along with the performers

Practice the words for the chorus so you can join in with the last song of the show:

Chorus

Spending time is taking care
So take your time and we’ll get there!
Time is what we make of it today!

Clocks, alarms and numbered things
Can’t stop us from how we’re ticking
Time is what we make of it today!

Create a jar of special moments

To join in with the performance of our adaptation of Timeless by Kelly Canby please create a jar of special moments; then bring the jar with you to the show.

1. Look at the picture of the jars in the lady’s shop
2. In our show, the jars are filled with things that don’t cost any money, but make people happy
3. Either: draw a picture of a jar like one in the shop; or, recycle a jar, e.g. a coffee jar
4. Decorate or colour in your jar (here is a picture of ours!)

5. Label your jar with what you would put inside. It must be something that makes you happy BUT doesn’t cost any money. It could be a feeling, a smell, a sound, a personal quality – something that you treasure when you have time
6. Bring your jar to hold up in the show!
