We’re always looking for creative people to collaborate with.  If you’re a director, designer, puppet maker, sound designer or Stage Manager please get in touch and we can let you know when we next have a suitable project.

Roles available

Resident Director

Location: Melbourne (Yarraville / Seddon)
Engagement: Fixed-Term (July 24th start)
Remuneration: Fixed Fee of $1400 (6 days rehearsal + prep)

We’re looking for a passionate Resident Director to join our team for two exciting 40-minute musical adaptations for primary school-aged audiences. Help bring our set creative vision to life, lead rehearsals, and support the cast to achieve top performances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead rehearsals to keep the production true to its creative vision
• Report on artistic and logistical needs
• Manage a positive, efficient rehearsal room and ensure rehearsals stay on track
• Collaborate closely with the creative team and cast

You’ll need:
• Proven experience in directing, ideally for young audiences or in theatre for education (TIE)
• Strong leadership, time management, and communication skills
• Passion for high-quality, accessible children’s theatre

Desirable:
• Experience as a resident director or with musical theatre productions

Administration Officer (Casual)

Location: Melbourne (South Kingsville)
Engagement: Casual, 16hrs per week
Remuneration: Clerks – Private Sector Award 2020 (MA000002), Level 2; $34.60 per hour

About the Role
Reporting to the Director, you’ll provide administrative support across tour planning, client bookings, performer onboarding, data management, and financial tasks. You’ll help keep our tours running smoothly by liaising with performers and clients, managing schedules, tracking performance data, and contributing to new projects and business development.

This is a flexible role (remote and in-office) that suits someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and supporting a team making a big impact.

Key responsibilities
🗺 Tour Management – Organise travel, accommodation, and performance schedules; update weekly itineraries using Zoho CRM and Excel
📞 Booking & Client Management – Respond to enquiries, issue quotes, and maintain booking records
💼 General Admin & Finance – Track hours, create reports, manage invoicing via Xero
📊 Data Management – Maintain accurate client records and prepare data for marketing campaigns
🎭 HR Support – Assist with performer onboarding, records, wellbeing check-ins, and recruitment
📝 Project & Meeting Support – Record meeting minutes, support special projects, and contribute to business planning

About you
You are someone who thrives on structure, clear communication, and helping others succeed. You’ll bring:

Essential:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in administration
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence working across multiple systems (e.g. CRM, Gmail, Xero)
  • A collaborative, proactive mindset

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the Australian performing arts and/or education sectors
  • Experience with Xero, Zoho CRM, or tour/arts admin
  • Social media or digital marketing experience
  • A passion for theatre and young audiences
